Is an energy energy audit (assessment) necessary for heat pump rebate?
No, an energy audit is not required for the heat pump rebate program. It will streamline the program administration for homeowners doing heat pump retrofit as a single upgrade to the house. This will enable homeowners to access their reimbursement faster. Heat pumps do not need the same level of pre and post energy assessments compared to entire building envelope measures.
Is Heat Pump Rebate Available For Propane or Oil-heated Homes?
No it is not available at this time. They are expected to be available later in 2025.
What types of building are eligible for heat pump rebate?
The home must be a single detached, semi-detached, row house, townhome, or mobile home on a permanent foundation.
